Rikki is a ring with an NFC chip certified by Visa and MasterCard inside, which can be used to pay in any store in the world that has a contactless payment system.

That is, you can link any bank card from the European Union to this ring to pay with it.

What advantages does it offer compared to other payment methods?

In addition to being comfortable and discreet (the design is very minimalist and is made of hypoallergenic ceramic), it does not need a battery and is submersible (it can withstand up to 50 m underwater).

That is, you can carry it around without thinking about it, go swimming at the beach without worrying about your wallet or your phone, and use it right when you need it by simply placing your hand over the card reader. Just be prepared for the wow effect when you do it.

Is the Rikki ring safe?

Security is guaranteed because the chip inside is certified by Visa and MasterCard to be able to enter the banking circuit, and complies with the European PSD2 regulations (PIN required for payments over €50).

In addition, it is the safest payment system because at no time are your bank details exposed, nor can your banking identity be hacked since the chip does not store any of this data.

Also, if you lose it or it gets stolen (much more difficult than with a wallet or a mobile phone) you can block it with the Rikki app , so that no one else can reuse it for themselves. Plus, who would imagine that a ring can be used to pay for something!

How do I set up and control the ring?

To use the ring it is not essential to carry your mobile phone with you , but with the Rikki app you can configure it yourself (link your bank card).

Can I use it if I am an iOS user?

Yes. The use of the ring is independent of the mobile operating system , and you can even make payments with the ring even if you don't have your mobile phone with you.

The Rikki app is available on iOS and Android , so you can use it to set up your ring and perform other functions.

Now, take a good look at the technical specifications of the ring model you are interested in, since the chips in some models are not compatible with iOS.

For these cases, the solution for iPhone users is to use an Android to record their card and then delete the ring registration on that phone or , if it is not possible to have a trusted Android, before sending you the ring we can record the card using a secure gateway . If you lose the ring, you can always block the card that is linked to it.

Can 'accidental' payments be made?

Don't worry about that, for a payment to be made there must be good coverage, the dataphone must be at least 3 cm from the ring, pointing very well at the NFC reader, and it must be held until you hear the device beep.

Only if you work with a dataphone on a daily basis should you be careful, but in this case you can pause ring payments while you work so that reading is not allowed.

Do I have to be a Spanish resident to use it?

The Rikki Ring is a payment method and, according to current legislation, can be issued to residents or EC nationals.

Can I use any bank card with Rikki?

You can link most bank cards from the European Union to the ring. The only exceptions are the cards from the banks EVO Banco, Abanca and Openbank. The AQUA card from BBVA also does not work, but the rest of the cards from this bank do. Check this link to understand how to link your card to the ring.

Can I wear the ring abroad?

Absolutely! You can pay with your Rikki anywhere in the world that accepts contactless payments – currently in more than 6 million establishments.

Transactions are clearly displayed in your Balance and in their Euro equivalent.

Are there any payment fees or maintenance fees?

No, the ring is paid for once and has no other associated recurring costs. To set it up, you just need to download the Rikki app and the bridge card if you require it.

Can I use Rikki if I am a minor?

To use Rikki you must have a bank card. If you are a minor, you can ask your parents or legal guardian to open a Revolut junior account for you using a Visa card.

Can I change the size after purchasing the ring?

Yes, you can change it within 14 days of delivery as long as you have not associated it with a user account . Remember that it is a payment method and for your security we cannot change it once you have associated it with your account.

What is the warranty on the ring?

Rikki guarantees the ring's functionality for the first year from the date of purchase . The guarantee covers factory defects , but does not cover damage caused by wear, breakage or improper use of the ring.

Withdrawal

Rikki offers a 30-day withdrawal period after the purchase has been made.

If you wish to return the ring within this period, you must do so by handing over the ring and the wooden jewelry box in perfect condition (without any breaks or scratches).

Return shipping costs are the responsibility of the customer.
