Uncompromising security
Is it safe to pay with the Rikki ring?
Yes. Rikki uses bank-level (EMV-level) security and tokenization. The ring does not store or transmit actual card data, and each payment uses a unique token that expires as soon as the transaction is complete.
With these security measures, the ring cannot be hacked, nor can any payment transaction be intercepted and reused.

What happens if I lose it?
In case of loss, the ring can be easily blocked from the Rikki app, without needing to cancel or replace bank cards.
We have also developed an anti-theft shield so that no one other than its legal owner can reuse it.
-
Does Rikki have its own app?
Yes. Rikki has developed its own superior security app to link and manage cards and remotely lock the ring.
-
Why is it safer to pay with Rikki than with a card?
Unlike a card, Rikki doesn't display or transmit sensitive data. Tokenization adds an impenetrable layer of security and guarantees the safety of your funds.
Furthermore, it allows you to pay with a simple gesture and eliminates the need to take your wallet out of your pocket, making it harder to lose or have stolen. You also don't need to cancel cards if you lose the ring, and you can manage multiple cards or share the same card among several rings.
-
Why is it safer to pay with Rikki than with a mobile phone?
Because Rikki is not connected to the network, thus preventing the possible theft of your digital identity and unauthorized access to all your financial funds.
In addition, it saves you from having to take out and unlock your phone, making it harder to lose it or have it stolen.
-
Do I need to bring my mobile phone to pay?
No. Your mobile phone is only needed for initial setup and ring management. To pay, simply hold your hand near the payment terminal.
-
Can 'accidental' payments be made?
No. Accidental payments are not possible because Rikki has implemented proximity technology to prevent unintentional charges.
Thanks to its precision antenna, payment is only activated by direct, voluntary physical contact of 1 to 2 seconds on the terminal's NFC reader. No accidental touches, no surprises.
-
How does Rikki differ from other NFC rings?
Most NFC rings use generic chips, which, because they are not certified by Visa or Mastercard, cannot be used for payments.
Rikki is designed and certified for use as a payment ring on the international Visa and Mastercard networks.
